Today Im going to talk to you about two eye shadows:
Eye polish by RMS beauty in Lucky: https://www.rmsbeauty.com/products/eye-polish?variant=21015371270
Cost: 26 pound
And
The 10 seconds eye shadow by Kosas in Globe:
https://kosas.com/products/10-second-eyeshadow-globe
Cost: 23 pound
I’ve applied Both on clean eye lead in the morning and kept them on for the whole day.
I’ll start with Kosas:
Kosas claims that their formulations are the best of molecular biology to create better products that are safe and non-toxic.
The website describes it as a “wash of color, skincare for your eyelids”
- Seriously crease resistant
- Don’t need a primer
- No tools are needed
- Is a mineral Mineral eyeshadow suspended in a thin formula. It will separate but just shake really well and it will mix again. Really runny some careful when you open the bottle.
- I wipe the excess because otherwise there is too much product
- It applies really evenly
- Buildable
- Easy to take off with micellar water (I use the one for Bioderma Sensibio)
- Neutral champagne, satin finish, in a warm gold
- Will dry fast and then will stay put
Now, the Rms beauty eye polish:
In the website is described as: A veil of sheer metallic hues.
One the key benefits listed ine the website is: They double as an eye cream to nourish and moisturize the eye area, separating them from commercial eye shadows that can accelerate aging and emphasize lines.
RMS formulations contains raw food grade and organic ingredients, free from toxic chemical and artificial preservatives, non-GMO, non-nano, soy free, gluten free, cruelty-free…
- Not that buildable
- Easy to apply
- Looks good on olive skin-tones
- Apply with fingers for a better adherence
- The website recommend to apply a minimal amount of product. Probably this will help with the creasing.
- Sheer finish, Lucky: A perfect copper with a peach undertone
It will crease, even with primer, after one hour it was already creasing. But, weirdly enough the lines were less noticeable as the day was passing by. The website recommends to blend again with the fingers. HonestlyI haven’t tried that.
Thing to mention is that RMS is a clean brand and in the website is specifies that the eyeshadow is not crease-prof in order to avoid the use of synthetic chemicals to protect the delicate eye area. So I’d say that is understandable that the setting power of Kosas compared to RMS is stronger, probably non even comparable.
Would I recommend to a friend? Both are great products but I’d recommend them to a slightly different type of person looking for maybe different things.
To someone that is first approaching clean beauty I’d probably recommend Kosas just because it would help to ease in the clean beauty world. To someone with very, very sensitive skin, allergies or adopting a very pure approach to beauty, I’d recommend the RMS Eye polish. I suffer from allergies my self an RMS eye polish was the only thing I could use on my eyes. I must say that the Kosas eye shadow is a recent purchase and my skin now is way better so I’m not able to say how my skin would have reacted to it. Personally I use both in different occasions or mood. If I want to be quick (2seconds applying time), or I’m at home, I use the RMS eye polish. If I’m in for a stronger flash of color or going out for the evening, I use the 10 seconds eye shadow.
Both brand’s eye shadows are claiming that this products are almost skin care for the eyelids and I love the idea of using this eye shadows also on a Sunday, couch day, just for my self, with the feeling that I’m almost nourishing my eyelids.
Here’s some pictures of both the eye shadows under different lighting:
What do you think about this brands, have you used any of this eye shadows before?
Let me know and I hope this was useful.
