This is my first impression on the The New Velvet Collection
I got Velvet Fawn, Muse and Decade in a red velvet bag.
I wore Velvet Fawn this morning without moisturising my lips because I was in a rush.
Is not drying at all, is very long lasting, it resisted a breakfast (coffe, yogurt and banana) till lunchtime. I applied it straight from the bullet and I forgot that I was wearing lipstick. Its buildable so you can start with only one swipe more or use it as a stain with your fingers.
My favourite formula was Charlotte Tilbury’s Matte Revolution but now, I’m sorry to say it but this lipstick (at least the Fawn formula) became my new favourite.
This summer I bought Pillow talk lipstick hoping it’d be as amazing as the lipliner but I was disappointed because the colour is different. But Velvet Fawn gave me that wow factor I was waiting for. With my skin and lip colour works as a very sophisticated nude.
Is even better than Pat McGrath’s Mattetrance lipsticks (I tried so far Flesh 5, Flash 3, Omi and Beautiful stranger – let me know if you want a review on that).
So if you want to treat your self with a new lipstick get you a Lisa Eldridge one because are worth it.
The velvet effect on the bullet is something I have never seen and I bet she spent some time and money on it but it delivers in experience.
The packaging is really nice and classy. When I opened the box this morning, my reaction was just “Wow”.
The velvet bag is beautiful and doesn’t feel like a cheap bag that just comes with the lipsticks. Is so nice I’d buy it on its own.
I can see that Lisa knows what she is doing and she is not messing around, I dare to give a 10/10 to this lipsticks. Hands down…
Ad I said this is my first impression. Let me know if you want to know more and if you want a swatch of Lisa Eldridge Muse and Decade.
