Skincare update: Two new products I’ve tried and the reaction of my skin after one week.
Paula’s Choice is a brand new to me, I’ve ignored it for a long time because I thought that it was just an other influencers brand.
🤓 I was looking for the right products to boost my complexion, fade dark spots, work on fine fine lines, increase brightness, diminish blemishes and breakouts. Paula’s choice products kept coming up in my search so many times that I decided to give a go. The thing that convinced was in-depth. explanations in Paula’s choice blog and the amount of informations given to readers.
🎛 Skin type: Mine, is a combination skin with dry areas and prone to breakouts.
⚡️ Sadly at the moment is seems that my skin doesn’t like Vitamin C. I had a painful breakout on my forehead for the whole week and as soon as I stopped using the Vitamin C the breakouts calmed the day after. I don’t think is anything specific with this serum specifically. I think is probably an issue with Vitamin C in general. I’ll wait a bit and give it an other go.
I used the Vitamin C in the mornings and the Azelaic Acid in the evenings.
🌞 Obviously I used SPF in the morning, The Caudalie Anti-wrinkle face suncare SPF 50. This product is back as one of my favourites, I love the glowy finish.
❤️ On the bright side (no pun intended), now I know I never let go of the Azelaic Acid. It calmed my skin for the first time in months and my skin seems more glowy and happy.
☂️ Sadly for the Vitamin C, I’ll have to find a way to make worth the money I spent on this booster. I’m glad I didn’t “invest” into the Skinceuticals Vitamin C and ferulic acid because is more of less double the price compared to the Paula’s choice one.
Have you tried the Vitamin C booster from Paula’s choice? What are you thought?
